Tuesday Sandwich Club

The Sandwich Club provides dozens of sandwiches every week for hungry clients at Community Lifeline, right here in Shelton.

My Bologna has a first name, It’s: o-s-c-a-r…

Actually, the first names of the Tuesday Sandwich Club are Bob and Ginny; Linda and Herb, Richard, Karen, Ginger, and Susan. These are just some of the many volunteers over the years at Faith who gather every Tuesday morning at 7:30am.

Loaves of bread, jars of mayonnaise, peanut butter and homemade jelly flood the kitchen counter, along with ham, cheese, sandwich bags and latex gloves. Ginger brings a plate of cookies. Ron fixes a pot of coffee while telling his latest (and best) jokes.

An hour later, over ten dozen sandwiches are prepared, bagged, and packaged for delivery to Community Lifeline.

If you would like to make a difference in our community and meet some new best friends, join us at the Faith Lutheran Church kitchen this Tuesday morning at 8:00am. And bring an apron! (Ron will provide the jokes.)
